Check Out Our Online Shows!

Carp Productions are on YouTube! We’ve been busy filming performances of some of your favourite fairytales, and the first two of them are uploaded and ready to watch. Laugh along with the stories of Goldilocks and the Ugly Duckling, coming to you direct from self-isolation in our front room!  Here’s the link to our YouTube channel:

And there are more to come – we’ll let you know when they’re uploaded. You could even act out your favourite book. All you need is some simple dress-ups and props, which you can find around the home, and the most important thing of all – your imagination. If you’d like to see your favourite story acted out, send us an email at info@carpproductions.com and we might even perform it for you!

A Message About The Coronavirus

March 29th, 2020

Hi everyone from Carp Productions – we are still open for business! Even though schools, pre-schools and libraries are closed, that hasn’t stopped us creating great theatre. We’ve created some Kids Activities pages for the website, and will be adding to them over the next weeks. And we’re in the process of filming and uploading some performances from our shows for you to watch online. Keep an eye out for our YouTube clips, very soon!

We’re still healthy and well and doing everything we possibly can to keep ourselves safe. We strongly urge everyone to stay home whenever possible, it’s the safest place to be – and wash and sterilise your hands regularly. Remember, twenty seconds washing with soap is required to clean your hands thoroughly. We’re also doing our bit by washing and sterilising all our costumes and props after use.

Carp would also like you to know that we’re still available by phone or email to take bookings or enquiries at any time. Thanks to everyone who called to postpone rather than cancel their shows, we appreciate it immensely. We will of course do everything we can to find a new time and date to suit all of you. If this date needs to be changed later on, we are happy to accommodate.

We’re also busy developing new shows and characters, fine-tuning our current offerings and keeping ourselves active and engaged with our work. We love to keep busy and we won’t be slowing down!  We recommend to all that you stay creative and keep yourselves occupied during this time – stay positive!

We hope, once you are safe to do so, that you will consider booking us for shows in second, third or fourth term.  If the show you booked no longer applies to your particular unit of work, don’t forget we have a great range of shows relevant to units later in the year.  Our “Proud to Be Me” show is of course a great show for any time of the year, with a message of friendship, tolerance and self-esteem that, now more than ever, is an important one to reinforce.

We hope all our clients stay safe and that we can all support each other in any way we can. We look forward to seeing you all very soon!

A show specifically designed for students making the transition to school, or to a new year at school, “Proud To Be Me!” focuses on friendship, cooperation, tolerance, self-esteem and individuality, in a fun, interactive show. It’s perfect for any time of the year!

At Peculiar Primary School, Snow the Crayon is feeling left out – nobody ever wants to use a white crayon! But with his friend Blaze – along with a determined Singing Seal and a friendly Stink Bug – Snow learns that we’re all unique and we’re all special in our own ways. Celebrate your own super skills and learn about friendship, tolerance and diversity in “Proud to Be Me!”

Start the year with “Proud to Be Me!” – a live, interactive show the celebrates everyone’s individual special qualities.

Using role-play, fun characters and interactive stories with music, “Proud to Be Me!” encourages students to learn the importance of friendship, and to be aware of their own uniqueness.
