The 2017 Book Week Show!

The Carp Productions 2017 Book Week Show (45 minutes)

Book Early! We already have only limited times/dates available during Book Week.

An interactive performance looking at this year’s Book Week nominees, “The 2017 Book Week Show” features:

  • An overview of the short-listed books
  • A narrative based around this year’s theme, “Escape to Everywhere”
  • Roles for students to play
  • Audience participation
  • A fun look at some of the nominated books

The students are strongly encouraged to participate in reading and the acting out of the stories they read.

“Mr Monotone has replaced your regular teacher, Miss Book Worm, and is boring you all to tears!   It’s time to escape from him to a world where stories leap off the page and come to life! Join us as we travel through this year’s CBCA Book Week stories and Escape to Everywhere!”

“What a treat to see the 2017 shortlisted Book Week books retold in such a fun and interactive way! The kids laughed their way through the entire show and loved getting up and being involved as different characters along the way. The show was perfectly pitched to the age group and the kids already can’t wait for next year’s show! Thanks to Carp for a thoroughly engaging afternoon!” – Liz Reus, Teacher, St Kilda Primary School 2017
